The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) and PSAT 10 are tests that are designed for students in order for them to measure their aptitude on concepts taught in school, assess whether they are on track with learning and also often used as judging criteria for various scholarships. It is a brilliant opportunity for young students to unlock many opportunities to finance university education.

Each section of the PSAT is timed. The following is a breakup of the various components:

  • PSAT Reading Test - 47 Questions in 60 minutes
  • PSAT Writing and Language Test - 44 questions in 35 minutes
  • PSAT Math (NO Calculator )- 17 questions in 25 minutes
  • SAT Math (With Calculator) - 31 questions in 45 minutes
